The San Francisco Bay Area Commission held an important roundtable discussion on June 21, 2023, at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. Attendees included Li Li, the board director of Meibao Corporation, Xin An, a director of the Bay Area Commission, Ted, the chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council, Ambassador Abraham, the US Ambassador to ASEAN, as well as the US ambassadors to Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. They gathered together to discuss the preparations for this year’s APEC conference.
During the meeting, each ambassador introduced the economic, trade, and diplomatic situations of their respective countries, demonstrating their support and commitment to Asia-Pacific economic cooperation. Meanwhile, Li Li also provided an overview of Meibao Corporation and raised the company’s need for Meibao’s pharmaceutical products to enter the healthcare systems of ASEAN countries.
In response, the staff of the ASEAN Trade and Commerce Commission expressed their willingness to get involved at both the industry committee and government-to-government (G2G) levels and to provide assistance. They communicated with Meibao Corporation representatives regarding further cooperation and shared contact information of relevant staff members. This positive attitude towards collaboration provided strong support for Meibao’s business expansion in the ASEAN region.
The entire meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with all parties expressing their high expectations for deepening the economic and trade relations between Meibao and ASEAN countries. This exchange laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between both sides and demonstrated their determination and willingness to jointly promote economic prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
